Supplier Quality Engineer
Our client, a major aerospace manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer with experience with the manufacturing, inspection, and approval of multiple types of products intended for the Aerospace Industry.


  • Perform on-site liaison and supervision at Suppliers’ premises to identify root causes and resolve quality issues related to Suppliers’ product and processes.
  • Implement tools and processes to ensure suppliers are prepared and have robust plans to deliver first-time quality.
  • Investigate, evaluate, resolve, and prevent Quality problems by conducting audits, analyzing defect trends, leading continuous improvement projects and implementing preventive tools.
  • Establish Performance Indicators with suppliers to ensure Quality standards are attained and Continuous Improvement plans are executed accordingly. This must be a self-starting problem solver who will utilize analytical skills to find innovative solutions to quality-related issues.
  • Strong communication skills are required to ensure suppliers understand requirements and expectations, make progress reports and present findings.

Required Skills/ Knowledge:

  • At least 10 years working experience in aerospace/aviation industry and a minimum of 5 years’ in Quality Management or equivalent, preferably with first tier OEM suppliers for commercial aircraft programs
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 Quality System and First Article Requirements.
  • Direct knowledge of Manufacturing processes and supply chain logistics from raw material to finished goods, including experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Effective Problem Solver using Structured Problem-Solving methods and systems Effective communicator can express ideas clearly, directly and objectively.
  • Practical problem solver.
  • Proficient experience Product Production Line Validation, test, equipment, instrumentation and qualification of Mechanical and Fabricated products
  • Working knowledge of Airborne System Design
  • Familiarity with APQP and PPAP and process tools such as PFMEA and Control Plan Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt certification from a recognized organization
  • Working knowledge of the principles and the purpose of a Quality Management System

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related technology.
