Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide advice and/or direction to Design leads, review designs and sign field changes. Provide support to EPC (Engineer Procure and Construct) vendor by providing Engineering Chance Control guidance, provide active support to field issues and field changes, and facilitate a positive outcome with EPC vendors.

•         Carries out detailed construct ability reviews to develop the engineering design requirements, project schedule, manpower and procurement requirements

•         Prepares detailed drawings/models of unusual, complex or original design for a complete phase of a project requiring the application of theoretical and practical design knowledge.

•         Ensure all personal actions and design deliverables meet or exceed corporate, project and statutory Health, Safety and Environmental performance requirements;

•         Complete assessments and report progress to the discipline lead;

•         May assist or be responsible for project scope/cost/time management;

Education, Skills and Experience:

-          Minimum 5 years’ experience in Design, preferably in the Nuclear Industry

-          Instrumentation and Controls Design experience including solid experience in Nuclear

-          Working knowledge of Engineering Change Control processes at OPG or Nuclear Industry

-          P. Eng license

-          Self-starter, problem solver

-          Willing to travel occasionally
